Understanding the Confusing World of Truck Cabs

Picking out your preferred truck cab style can be challenging if you do not clearly understand the differences between the many available options. The truck cab experts at Wine Automotive want to share our knowledge and tools with you so that you understand the specific terminology that is often inconsistent across brands.

Regular or standard truck cabs are the most common style, featuring two doors and room for only one or two additional passengers. Super or quad cabs are distinguished by their two full-size doors plus suicide doors that only open when the two main doors have been extended open. An extra row of seats enables more passengers.

The crew or double-cab style features four full-size doors with two full rows of seating. The type of truck is reminiscent of a typical sedan but with a truck bed. The mega or crew max cab is a larger version of the crew style.
