    I traded in my wife's 2015 Honda Pilot for this car and gave my wife my Toyota 4Runner to drive. I've had it for about two months, commuting 90 miles/day in DC area traffic. I also took a trip to the Outer Banks of NC (775 miles round trip). So far, I love it. Truck looks big on the outside, but drives much smaller, as the handling/steering is great. I was able to get 50 mile increments where my mpg was above 23 mpg.. That is pretty amazing, although the mpg in bumper to bumper traffic is about what you'd expect in the mid to high teens. Pick up is good, although you have to hit the throttle fairly hard at first, as it is not sensitive when you first accelerate, clearly an effort to increase fuel economy. The exterior is really good looking. I was surprised at the quality of the interior as well. The only negative that is worth mentioning is the high load level in the back, a result of a live rear axle. With 3 dogs, it's tough loading them in. Heavy luggage should be left to the taller in your group. I took the Tahoe on the beach in the OBX. Those familiar with the Outer Banks know Corova Beach (4x4 area) is fun, but can be challenging for AWD and even 4H. The Tahoe went through even the highest sand without issue (I do have the Z71 with all terrain tires). It was a ball! Despite the sticker price ($60k+), I think this truck is a definite buy. They put together a great package. Kudos to GM.

    I purchased a brand new 2016 lt z71 Tahoe in May this year and had probelms with it from day 1. The dealership could not figure out why it came from the factor with the doors not even at all. They told me it should be like that and had to take to another dealership to fix it. Also there was several trim pieces that had to be replaced due to defects in them. After that the ac started to act up when it got over 90f and would cut off and blow hot air. It would also not cool to 40f like it should. After that problem that could never be determined a low pitch rumble sound would happen when it was in v4 mode and only got worse and gm did not have a fix for it. Two Chevy dealerships could not figure the problem out as well. I have owned a 2001 ls Tahoe and 2012 ltz 4wd Tahoe as well but this one was very disappointing. I discovered that a lot of people from the 2015 model had problems with ac and rumble sound and gm didn't have a fix at all. I would not recommend the new Tahoe at all. Also is on the top 20 worst reliable vehicles.

    Loved my 2005 Tahoe but with 200k+miles decided it was time for a new vehicle. The 2017 is a nice vehicle but Id take the features from my 2005 back if I could. The mirrors for this size vehicle are too small, the high load level is inconvenient, the eco engine is initially unresponsive, do not like the lane assist-turned it off, useless 3rd row seat with no alternative not to have it-laying it down creates an unwanted uphill slope to the front-come on GM not everyone has lots of kids to tote around-you forgot us dog lovers!
